Welcome to the Pastor's Corner
From the first day of meeting the people of Grace Bible Church, me and my wife Patty knew that we could see ourselves becoming a part of this church. When we walked into the doors, it was easy to see that this church is truly a place where "Love and Friendship Abound". We are looking forward to getting to know the people of Grace Bible Church more, and to see what God is going to do in this next chapter of our ministry. Everyone is welcome here and we hope to see you come for a visit soon, where you will hear what the Bible say about how much Jesus truly loves you.

Jeremiah 11:3-5
In Jeremiah 11, God is telling Jeremiah to remind the people of Judah that He had made a covenant with the people almost 1,000 years prior after Moses lead them out of Egypt. For a thousand years, God has kept this promise to give them the land flowing with milk and honey (prosperous land), as long as the people turned to Him as their God. Over and over, they turned to false idols, but once they turned back, God would return them to the land. A land that was promised 1,500 years earlier to Abraham when he obeyed God.
And in all those years, God never once said “I’ve changed my mind”. He stayed consistent and followed through on His promise just as He said He would. God not only demonstrates His follow-through without change here but does also in all His commands and promises. In Genesis chapter 3, He promises a savior to come, and 4,500 years Jesus did. He has expressed His desire of what is right and what is wrong throughout the entire Bible and has never changed one of them. And throughout the Bible, He has told us the fate of this world and what is to come, without ever changing one detail about it.
Our God is faithful, consistent and reliable. So, why is it that people want to change what God has said in the Bible or say that’s not what it means for today? If God has not changed His mind in the first 6,000, what makes one think He has in the last couple hundred? God does not change, people do, and the people are wanting to make a God in their image. We need to stop looking for a God we want and start searching in scripture for the God that is. We may not always like what He has to tell us in the Bible, but it’s the truth according to an unchanging God.
So, instead of skipping the parts of the Bible you don’t care for because it interferes with how you think things should be, embrace it for what it is, instructions on how to live a holy life according to the One that really knows it.
